Anyone who has ever worked with a printer knows that often the hardest part is providing high resolution images to go inside your printed piece.
The standard resolution for printed images is 300 dpi. This photo-quality resolution is often difficult to work with. As you double the size of the image, you half the resolution. What if the image you want to use is not large enough or not of high enough resolution to print without it becoming severely pixilated? Here's a tip.
In Photoshop along the top main menu you'll see the option for "filters". Set the image you're working with to the size you want, and a resolution of 300 dpi or higher (Set the resolution and image size in "Image" >> "Image Size").
Try various filters with varying degrees of detail and eventually what you will have is a stylized version of the image you want to use at a resolution you need to print it at the photo quality level.
The following are a before and after examples of increasing the resolution of an image by stylizing it with a Photoshop Filter or Effect.
